Hi, I’m Ellie.

I’m a Norwegian photographer and visual storyteller, drawn to people, connection and the moments that actually mean something.

My work moves between the deeply personal and the beautifully ordinary — from births, motherhood and family life to weddings, events, portraits and stories created for brands and businesses.

I’m interested in what happens in between the obvious moments. The look across the room. The nervous laugh before something begins. The hands that find each other. The chaos behind the scenes. The small details you might not notice until much later.

Before photography became my full-time work, I was a nurse, a storyteller and a lifelong observer of people. Those experiences still shape the way I work today: with curiosity, empathy, calm and a lot of respect for the people in front of my camera.

I’m Norwegian by birth and based in Norway, and I’m fluent in Norwegian, English and Swedish, with a little Danish and Spanish thrown in.

My approach has also been shaped by working with and learning from world-renowned birth photographer Eva Rose Furmyr, whose documentary approach to birth and human connection has had a lasting influence on my own work.

Photography became my way of holding onto the things that move quickly.

The beginning of a family. A wedding day that disappears in a blur. A room full of people celebrating. A person completely in their element. A business, team or story that deserves to be seen properly.

Whatever I’m photographing, I’m looking for the same thing: something real.

Images that feel like you, rather than something that has simply been posed for a camera.

That’s what I care about.
