Behind the lens

Hi, I'm Ellie.

I'm a documentary birth, motherhood & family photographer based in Norway.
Born and raised Norwegian; and fluent in Norwegian, English, Swedish and also speak a little Danish and Spanish.
I am drawn to the moments that cannot be recreated: the quiet in-between moments, the raw emotions, and the connections that become part of our most treasured memories.

Before I became a photographer, I was a nurse, a storyteller, and someone deeply fascinated by the moments that shape us.

I have had the privilege of learning from and being mentored by world-renowned birth photographer Eva Rose, whose work has shaped the way birth stories are documented around the world. Through her guidance, I continue to refine my approach and deepen my understanding of the trust, sensitivity, and presence required to photograph such transformative moments.

My own journey through motherhood has taught me that the moments we wish we could hold onto forever are often the ones that pass the quickest—the first movements of a baby, the anticipation before birth, the first time you meet your child, and the quiet days when everything is new.

Photography became my way of preserving those fleeting pieces of life. Not just how they looked, but how they felt.

I approach every session with patience, empathy, and a quiet presence. Whether I'm documenting a birth, a newborn chapter, or a meaningful celebration, my goal is always the same: to create honest photographs that tell your story with warmth and intention.

Because the moments that change us deserve to be remembered.
